This gas training is tailored for newcomers and intermediate technicians, spanning two days. The agenda covers the following key topics:

• Do’s and don’ts of a successful service call
• Properties and characteristics of natural gas, propane, and bioethanol
• Components of log sets, fireplaces, inserts, and freestanding stoves, including controls and accessories
• Proper venting techniques for various hearth products, including B-vent, natural vent, direct vent, and unvented systems
• Identifying and troubleshooting millivolt systems, including Robert Shaw, Dexen, and Eurosit
• Identifying and troubleshooting IPI systems, including Proflame, Dexen, and Maxitrol
