This application contains details on qualifying products, rebate amounts, and how to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"gb-button gb-button-cf834133 gb-button-text btn-default\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hpbapacific.org\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/2025-home-energy-efficiency-program.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download Application and Information<\/a>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PCAPCD Wood Stove Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Placer County Air Pollution Control District\u2019s Wood Stove Changeout Incentive Program is now accepting applications. We are excited to provide vouchers for residents to upgrade their uncertified wood stove or fireplace. Once an application is submitted, reviewed for eligibility, approved, and a voucher is issued, the voucher can be redeemed at a Participating Retailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Approved applicants can receive up to <strong>$2,500<\/strong> to replace their existing, operational wood stove or fireplace, when used as a primary source of heat, with an eligible wood-burning replacement device or electric heater, and up to <strong>$5,000<\/strong> to upgrade to a heat pump. If an applicant qualifies for an enhanced incentive, they can receive up to $5,000 for an eligible non-heat pump replacement, and up to $10,000 for a heat pump. To qualify for an enhanced incentive, an applicant must reside in a designated low-income community, show proof of enrollment in a low-income assistance program (WIC, LIHEAP, CARE), or have a household income below $77,067 (<em>this may increase dependent on household size<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To participate, applicants must:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Own or rent a residence in Placer County;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rely on an operational uncertified (generally pre-1988) wood stove\/insert or fireplace as a primary source of heat within the residence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide information about the amount of wood used in the existing wood stove or fireplace<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide necessary photos of the existing device and wood storage area as indicated in the application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not remove the existing wood-burning device or purchase a new device prior to voucher approval<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Redeem the voucher at a Participating Retailer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other terms and conditions apply<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visit website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.placerair.org\/7842\/Wood-Stove-Changeout-Incentive-Program\">https:\/\/www.placerair.org\/7842\/Wood-Stove-Changeout-Incentive-Program<\/a> for more information and to apply online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eastern Kern Air APCD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wood Smoke Reduction Program (WSRP) is out of funds<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The District offers rebate vouchers through its Wood Smoke Reduction Program (WSRP) to replace Non-EPA certified wood stoves with new EPA certified wood, pellet, or electric stove, or to install an EPA certified wood, pellet, or electric fireplace insert into a home that uses the heating device as its primary source of heat. Before we begin accepting applications for the incentive vouchers, we would like to sign-up Participating Retailers\/Installers and appreciate your interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program will offer an incentive for homeowners and renters in Placer County to replace an operational uncertified wood stove\/insert or fireplace, used as a primary source of heat, with an eligible replacement device that includes an EPA-certified wood or pellet burning stove or insert, an electric stove heater or electric heat pump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>Replacement Heating Device<\/td><td>Standard Incentive Amount<\/td><td>Enhanced Incentive Amount*<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>New wood\/pellet stove or insert of electric stove heater<\/td><td>$2,500<\/td><td>$5,000<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Heat pump<\/td><td>$5,000<\/td><td>$10,000<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*Applicant must meet low-income eligibility requirements to qualify for the enhanced incentive<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is over $1.3 million dollars in incentive funds available. The program has funding available countywide, but approximately $850,000 is reserved for projects in the Sacramento Valley Air Basin which is the area in the western portion of the county, Roseville to approximately Meadow Vista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gas stoves are not an eligible replacement home heating device, but we have added heat pumps.
