We will be building on your existing foundation of knowledge and skills. You will earn 12 technical NFI \/ CSIA CEU&#8217;s when you attend the 2 full days.<\/p>\n<h3>Course Content:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Course # 5034 &#8211; 2 Day Hands on Tech Training<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Day 1 | 8am-4pm<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Characteristics of\u00a0 Fuel Gases<\/li>\n<li>Principles of Combustion<\/li>\n<li>Controlling BTU&#8217;s<\/li>\n<li>Combustion Air Requirements<\/li>\n<li>Gas Pipe Sizing<\/li>\n<li>Codes and Standards IFGC and NFGC<\/li>\n<li>Categorizing Gas Appliances<\/li>\n<li>Venting<\/li>\n<li>Millivolt Valves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Day 2 | 8am-4pm<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Proper procedures for Service<\/li>\n<li>How-to with tools<\/li>\n<li>CO and its effects<\/li>\n<li>Fuel Conversion<\/li>\n<li>Interpreting Codes<\/li>\n<li>Basic Electricity<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Valves<\/li>\n<li>Review of Valves and controlling Voltage<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshooting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will be class discussion with group interaction and real life scenarios. Individuals will demonstrate hands-on knowledge of the material taught and identify where more instruction may be needed.\u00a0 We will break into teams for an overview of all topics covered and class will demonstrate their knowledge upon completion.<\/p>\n<h4>Instructor Bio:<\/h4>\n<p>Russ Wold has spent the majority of his adult life in the Hearth Industry.\u00a0 He began his career as an installer and service tech, worked as a field rep, factory rep, store owner, independent rep and consultant. He began his official hearth career as a rep for the Earth Stove for 5 years followed by a 6 year stint as a store owner.
