Consumers use www.hpba.org to research manufacturers
and products and to find member retailers
in their area. The retailer database also indicates
what retailers have NFI Certified specialists
for installation. HPBA also posts consumer
safety tips, product fact sheets, and industry
statistics on the web.
HPBAs web site keeps the membership up-to-date
with the latest information on EXPO, association
meetings, industry events, membership benefits,
and regulatory and government issues. Members
can access password protected members-only
sections for analysis of essential issues.
Media
and Public Relations
HPBA conducts an aggressive media and public
relations campaign all year. The Association
promotes the industries products to television,
radio, online, magazine, and newspaper media
across North America. Last year, the Associations
media efforts reached over 3.5 billion consumers.
At EXPO, HPBA invites a wide range of media
to see first-hand the latest technology, designs,
and products for indoor and outdoor living.
This program produces many stories througout
the year in publications and media such as
Sunset, Better Homes & Gardens, Country
Living, Wall Street Journal, and The Today
Show.
HPBA Communications
HPBA reaches out to its members and industry
through the monthly HPBA Journal and the CEO
Report newsletter. The CEO Report highlights
industry issues and developments and is faxed,
emailed, or mailed to the entire membership.
Annual
Membership Directory & Products Guide
Published annually for HPBA members only, the
Membership Directory & Products Guide is
a comprehensive list of association members,
with detailed products and brands information.
Educational
Video
A 10-minute educational video, "Why Does My
Fireplace Smoke?", is available to help hearth
specialty retailers to explain to their customers
how a fireplace functions and why it may not
work properly. |
